Haredim attack police arresting worker in J'lem

Border Police forces were attacked by several dozen Haredim while trying to arrest an illegal worker in Jerusalem's Mea She'arim neighborhood Wednesday morning. The worker, a resident of the Palestinian territories, was working in the area without a permit. When police arrested him, a group of Haredim gathered around them and began to hit the policemen, while others slashed the tires on their jeep. Police fired shots in the air and threw two stun grenades at the attackers, who fled the scene. One policeman suffered light injuries, and one attack suspect was arrested.
