Herzog: IDF will conduct large-scale operation in Gaza if necessary

Welfare and Social Services Minister Isaac Herzog said that Israel would not stand for continued attacks and that the IDF would carry out a large-scale operation in the Gaza Strip if necessary following a Kassam rocket strike on the western Negev on Thursday. Herzog said that the Palestinians intended to thwart the peace process by firing the rockets. He added that the army would continue to conduct operations while avoiding the harming of innocent civilians. Regarding the building of new homes in Har Homa, Herzog said that the plans for construction were approved 10 years ago and the authorization of the latest plan was merely a technical matter that the government was not involved in.
