The body of a 67-year-old woman was discovered in her Holon apartment on Thursday morning.
The woman's 71-year-old husband, who was taken in for questioning, told police that the couple had been robbed, and that his wife had died as a result of the burglary.
During his interrogation, the husband said that several burglars had arrived at the apartment, tied him up and stolen several items. He said he had managed to escape and reach his neighbors' apartment to call for help.
Police were continuing to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
