IAI cites 17% increase in sales compared to last year

The Israel Aerospace Industries published its third-quarter financial figures for 2008 noting a 17 percent increase compared to 2007 and reaching $877 million in sales as well as $2.8 billion since the beginning of the year. "Despite the slowdown in the international civil aviation market and the difficulties still ahead, IAI will continue to strengthen its position among existing customers, while exploring new businesses and opportunities," IAI Chairman Yair Shamir said.
