Ichilov oncologist arrested on bribery charges

Dr. Arieh Finger, a senior physician in the Oncology department at Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of receiving a bribe in exchange for referring patients to an experiment that took place in the hospital. Police inquiries indicated that the physician and one of the department nurses were allegedly paid for each referral and received bribes from several drug companies in return for subscribing their products to patients. The Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court sent the two to house arrest. Police plan to charge them with breach of trust and accepting bribes.
