A clash broke out between leftist and international activists and IDF and border police forces south of Hebron on Saturday, which resulted in the arrest of five Israeli protesters and three Palestinians. Approximately 150 activists had arrived at a stretch of agricultural land on Saturday in order to assist Palestinian farmers. The IDF forbade the activists from entering the area and declared the area a closed military zone. Despite the army's order, the protesters tried to enter the village and a confrontation erupted. The protesters claimed that security forces used unnecessary force in dispersing them while Hebron police asserted that the protestors attacked the security and military forces, Army Radio reported.
