IDF troops on Tuesday night foiled a terror attack against soldiers in the West Bank, the army announced Wednesday morning. According to the IDF, troops arrested three Palestinian near Nablus. The three were in possession of a bomb, weapons and detailed maps of the area. The three admitted that they were planning to carry out an attack against soldiers, the IDF said. They were taken to security forces for further interrogation. Meanwhile, Givati Brigade troops shot and moderately wounded a Palestinian at the Hawara checkpoint, south of Nablus, Tuesday night, after he began to throw sharp objects at the soldiers. The troops followed the correct procedure of first shooting in the air, before firing at the attacker's lower body, the IDF said. The Palestinian was evacuated to an Israeli hospital for treatment. Overnight Tuesday, IDF troops arrested six Palestinian fugitives in the West Bank. The detainees were all taken to security forces for questioning.
