IDF kills 'unarmed' Palestinian near West Bank

The IDF shot and killed a Palestinian during a raid in a village near the West Bank town of Jenin, Palestinian security said Thursday. The Palestinian was unarmed and soldiers were shooting in response to stone throwing in the village of A-Shuhada, the report said. The IDF spokesman did not immediately comment on the incident. The army said that in the nearby village of Mutlat Shahida troops shot during an operation. The troops were responding to fire directed at them and shot toward an armed man who was stationed on a roof but did not notice that he was hit, the army spokesman said.
