IDF, Shin Bet nab senior PFLP operative

Samer Mabruk, 2 others, suspected in numerous attacks against IDF troops, vehicles and supplies.

IDF troops arrested a senior member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) overnight Tuesday during an operation in Nablus, the army announced on Wednesday. According to a statement released by the IDF, Samer Zubahi Qasam Mabruk was apprehended during a joint operation conducted by the IDF, Shin Bet, and the Border Police. Israeli security officials suspect Mabruk of being involved in numerous attacks against IDF troops, vehicles, and supply warehouses. He was said to have based out of Ein Beit Ilma. Mabruk's brother, Majdi was arrested last February, and is also suspected in terror activity in the area. Two other PFLP men were arrested in the Nablus operation: Daud Muhammad Abdallah Daud, 41, and Amjad Mustafa Qasam Mabruk, 42 were both suspected of working together with Samer Mabruk to carry out operations. All of the men were transferred to other security forces for further interrogation.
