IDF troops shot and killed a Palestinian in the West Bank city of Hebron early Friday morning, the army and Palestinians said.
The army said the man was a Palestinian operative who attacked an IDF patrol outside the Tomb of the Patriarchs, throwing a Molotov cocktail and wounding one soldier. Troops opened fire, killing the man, and found a knife on his body, the army said.
Palestinian hospital officials in Hebron said a 22-year-old man was killed by troops, but could not confirm that he was an operative.
