Islamic Jihad: PA forces arrest wanted senior member

The Islamic Jihad announced on Saturday that one of its senior members was arrested by Palestinian Authority security officials in northern Samaria, Israel Radio reported.
According to the report, Fa'ady Qitani was arrested near the Al-Farrah refugee camp between Nablus and Jenin over the weekend. Qitani opened fire at his apprehenders, who managed to confiscate his weapon, before he was transferred to Jnaid Prison in Nablus.
Qitani, said the organization, has been sought after by Israel for a lengthy period of time and survived an assassination attempt several months ago in Kafr Kaffin, north of Tulkarem.
