Israel Electric reforms call for 1,000 workers to be fired

Some 1,000 Israel Electric employees are slated to be fired under the auspices of reforms to the company approved this weekend.
In addition, Israel Electric will stop some pay incentives for employees, as well as encouraging the use of natural gas in power stations in northern Israel.
The company is also expected to expand its advisory activities abroad.
