Zichron Yaakov police operating in Jisr e-Zarka on Monday apprehended a local resident wanted for questioning who attempted to evade the police on foot after realizing that they had identified him.
Upon searching the suspect, police discovered that he was in possession of a submachine gun, and had fled in order to discard the weapon.
The suspect was arrested.
