Karadi decides to raise level of alert from Sunday

Police Chief Insp.-Gen. Moshe Karadi has decided to raise the level of alert throughout Israel beginning on Sunday, following dozens of warnings of possible terror attacks. Police courses will be cancelled to allow a maximum number of policemen to patrol public places, and police presence will be increased along the Green Line, Israel Radio reported. On Tuesday, the day of Knesset elections, the level of alert will be at its highest, with some 23,000 security forces on duty.
