Attorney Avigdor Klagsblad did not reply to the indictment read out against him in Tel Aviv Traffic Court on Sunday, and said he needed time to study the evidence.
The judge, Yitzhak Garty, scheduled the next hearing for September.
Klagsblad has been charged with negligence causing death after he smashed into a car standing at a stoplight in north Tel Aviv in April, killing its two occupants.
Earlier in the morning, traffic judge Yisrael Witelson suspended Klagsblad's driver's license for 90 days. The state had asked that his license be revoked until the end of the criminal proceedings against him.
