Lieberman: Collapse of Olmert's government is imminent

The collapse of Prime Minister Olmert's government is imminent, said Yisrael Beiteinu leader Avigdor Lieberman Sunday, regardless of issues on which he is currently being investigated. "Political instability, along with strategic instability, puts Israel at risk. Therefore, we must hold early elections," he said. Lieberman also spoke of the prime minister's alleged willingness to give up the Golan in return for peace with Syria. "The Golan Heights as much a part of Israel as much as Tel Aviv is," he said. "If we hand over the Golan, we won't celebrate Israel's 61st anniversary."
