Light plane enters reactor's airspace

Light plane enters react

An Ultra Light aircraft was escorted by two IAF fighter jets in the skies above Arad on Tuesday afternoon, after the plane accidentally entered the airspace above the nuclear reactor in Dimona. The plane took off from Rishon Lezion in the morning, but made a mistake navigating and accidentally entered the no-fly zone above the reactor. The Israel Air Force Control Unit spotted the aircraft, and two fighter jets were scrambled in its direction. A preliminary investigation suggested that after the pilot of the light plane realized his mistake, he continued flying to the landing strip in Arad, which was his original destination, escorted by the IAF jets. The pilots were being questioned, and the case will be investigated by security forces.
