In a statement published following Israel Beiteinu's meeting with President Shimon Peres, Likud said that they "welcome [Israel Beiteinu leader Avigdor] Lieberman's announcement."
"It is now completely clear that a majority of MKs will endorse [Likud leader Binyamin] Netanyahu to form a government," the statement continued, "and therefore Peres should entrust him with building a coalition."
