A 33-year-old man from the village of Amrar drowned Friday afternoon in the Sea of Galilee.
The man, who did not know how to swim, entered the water to retrieve his son's lost ball. The beach is not officially open and swimming there is forbidden.
Tiberias police were working to recover the man's body before nightfall, Army Radio reported.
