Man detained for alleged attack on foreign worker

Tel Aviv police detained a man Wednesday evening following allegations that he attacked a Chinese foreign worker, assaulting the worker's face with his car keys. Police arrived at Rehov Gush Etzion in south Tel Aviv after receiving word of a fight. When patrol officers from the Schunot Station arrived on the scene, the complainant - a foreign worker from China - identified the suspect, a 35-year old Tel Aviv resident. The foreign worker said that the suspect attacked him with his car keys, injuring the foreign worker's face and assaulting his girlfriend because the complainant refused to move in order to allow the suspect to park his vehicle. The alleged attacker was brought before a Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court on Thursday for a extension of his remand as police continued their investigation into the attack.
