Man held on suspicion of beating wife and daughter

A Karmiel resident was arrested on Thursday on suspicion of attacking his wife and step daughter over a period of six years. According to the charges, during this period, the man reportedly broke his wife's arm and prevented her from receiving medical treatment. The man's wife complained of his treatment on Tuesday after he allegedly attacked her and pulled her hair. Army Radio reported that the man, who was in his forties, pleaded guilty to the accusations. Police revealed that the Karmiel resident had avoided a one-year jail sentence in Russia after being charged with beating his wife there.
