Rishon Lezion Police arrested a 23-year-old man early Friday morning on suspicion of intentionally running over six people in his car after he was ejected from a nightclub in the city following a fight.
From the initial investigation it emerged that after the suspect was thrown out of the club, he climbed into his car and mounted the sidewalk, wounding one person moderately and five lightly.
The six were evacuated to Asaf Harofeh Hospital in Tzrifin.
Four of the casualties were allegedly involved in the fight, which spilled over to outside the nightclub.
The suspect told his interrogators that he accidentally drove onto the sidewalk after he had fled the club and six people who had attacked him.
