MDA blood services reiterated their request on Monday for blood donations, saying that Israelis had donated very little blood in recent weeks.
At the same time, MDA raised its alert level to level 2, the second highest possible, ahead of Remembrance Day ceremonies and crowded Independence Day celebrations on Tuesday and Wednesday.
MDA rescue teams will be on hand throughout the holidays, particularly at crowded locations.
