More than 100 people treated at Lag Ba'omer festival at Mt. Meron.

Emergency services were kept busy overnight Monday - Lag Ba'omer Eve - treating youth who were injured in bonfires throughout the country and the many attendants of the Shimon Bar Yochai festival at Mount Meron.
The people injured included an 8-year-old in Bnei Brak, a 16-year-old at Poleg Beach north of Netanya and a 15-year-old in Hadera. Another young man in his twenties was injured in Bnei Brak when a bottle containing a flammable liquid was thrown into a nearby fire.
MDA teams treated 123 people at the Mount Meron festival. These included people who suffered from burns, broken bones or respiratory difficulties. A 66-year-old man went into cardiac arrest and was one of six people who were evacuated to Ziv Hospital in Safed.
Army Radio reported that twice as many people received medical treatment at the same event in 2005.
An estimated 200,000 people have been reported to participate in the event, with an equal number still expected to arrive. 5,000 policemen were securing the festival, with 100 medics and 10 ambulances present as well.
Former chief rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu also arrived at the event.
