Meretz Council approves merger with Hatnua Hahadasha

Meretz Council approved on Monday evening the merger with Hatnua Hahadasha (The New Move), a movement established recently in order to back up Meretz, creating a joint Knesset list.
The merger, following many weeks of negotiations and speculations, was approved by a great majority of the members of Meretz Council who were convened at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds on Monday.
The move approved the candidacy of former channel 10's journalist Nitzan Horowitz in the 3rd slot, Attorney Talia Sasson in the 7th slot and former Labor MK Tzali Reshef in the 9th slot.
