Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz praised the launch of Israeli satellite "Eros B" on Tuesday. "The success of the launch is a phenomenal achievement for the security establishment, the security industries and the State of Israel," he said.
According to Mofaz, "The satellite's activity will strengthen our ability to collect quality intelligence at great distances from Israel's borders. Israel has again proved that she depends first and foremost on herself to defend her citizens and is constantly working to improve her abilities and develop advanced systems to handle the threats around us."
The satellite is expected to supply Israel with intelligence regarding Iran's nuclear program.
