New evidence expected at upcoming Katsav hearing

Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz is expected to hold a much-anticipated hearing on Wednesday morning for President Moshe Katsav, who has been suspended since January following allegations of serious sexual crimes. At 11 a.m., Katsav's lawyers - Avigdor Feldman, Zion Amir and Avi Lavi - will arrive at the attorney-general's office for the hearing, at which they are expected to present new evidence and raise dozens of new claims. State Prosecution officials, including State Prosecutor Eran Shendar, will be present at the hearing.
