Noam Shalit, father of captured IDF soldier Gilad Shalit on Monday criticized the proposal of MK Limor Livnat (Likud) to harden the prospects of release for nationalist prisoners.
I wonder if Limor Livnat would have submitted the proposal if one of her sons was rotting in captivity," Shalit said during an iinterview with Cahnnel 10.
"Our hearts are with bereaved families. I am also the son of a bereaved family. We know what it is to be bereaved but no one has a monopoly on bereavement, not even MK Livnat," said Shalit, adding that the captured soldiers were "sent by the state and did not go to Gaza and Lebanon voluntarily."
