Olmert compares war in Lebanon to Six-Day War

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert stressed on Monday the successes of the Israeli attack in Lebanon. Comparing the IAF strike to the opening attack in the Six-Day War in 1967, Olmert stated that most of Hizbullah's long range rockets were destroyed by the Air Force in 34 minutes. "I know that there are doubts about the extent of the success," the prime minister said, "But one thing is clear: in Beirut and the other regional capitals it has been understood that we do not give up our autonomy."
