Undercover Israeli troops on Saturday opened fire at a car traveling in the northern West Bank, killing three Palestinian operatives in the vehicle, Palestinian security officials said.
The officials said the shooting occurred in the town of Jenin, which is known as a stronghold of terrorists. They said the dead Palestinians included two members of the Al Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, a violent group with ties to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah movement, and a member of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group.
The IDF had no immediate comment.
