Palestinian farmers petition HCJ to reopen Karni

Palestinian farmers petitioned the High Court of Justice Wednesday to reopen the Karni goods crossing on the Israel-Gaza border, and to end the "economic choke" that Israel has on the Gaza Strip. The petitioners included a UN report, which pointed to a severe shortage of wheat in Gaza. Kenneth Man, the attorney for the petitioners, claimed that Israel still controls Gaza, and is therefore responsible for what happens there. According to Israel Radio, the High Court will discuss the issue until the end of the month.
