A 16-year-old Palestinian youth was arrested after attempting to stab a border policeman at the checkpoint near Jenin on Monday.
The youth arrived at the checkpoint and as police prepared to check him, he pulled out a knife and attacked one of them.
The policeman was unharmed, Army Radio reported.
