Palestinians: West Bank settlers go on rampage in Palestinian village

Palestinian security says more than 20 Jewish settlers have attacked a Palestinian village in the West Bank, smashing cars and windows and cutting electricity wires. No injuries were immediately reported in the violence Thursday in the village of Burin near Nablus. Palestinian Authority policemen said dozens of houses and cars were damaged, and that shots were fired in the air when Israeli soldiers arrived on the scene. The Israeli police and military had no immediate comment. The closest settlement to Burin is Yitzhar, where a settler was arrested this month for allegedly trying to launch a homemade rocket at Burin.
