Reacting to the announcement of State Prosecutor Menahem Mazuz that Prime Minister Ehud Olmert requested from Defense Minister Amir Peretz a plan for evacuating illegal outposts in the West Bank, Peace Now director-general Yariv Oppenheimer said that the government was just avoiding the issue.
"The government is trying to buy time, and instead of deciding on a date for the evacuation of illegal outposts, it is postponing the matter by months," Oppenheimer said. "The state is dodging the issue; they are not even naming which outposts are being discussed."
