Peres calls on world to unite against Iran

President Shimon Peres called on the world to unite against Iran and to force it to abandon its nuclear weapons program. In an interview set to appear in Tuesday's La Figaro, Peres said Iran's power stemmed from the lack of world unity regarding its nuclear program. On the Palestinian issue, the president told the French newspaper that their economy must be strengthened. He urged the Palestinians to form ties with Israel and open negotiations with it.
