Defense Minister Amir Peretz decided Wednesday night to appoint Brig.-Gen. (res.) Pinhas Buhris as the Defense Ministry's new director general in place of Gabi Ashkenazi who left the post last month to be appointed IDF chief of staff.
Buhris' last position in the IDF was commander of Military Intelligence's 8200 Unit.
