Defense Minister Amir Peretz insisted on Thursday that the renewal of talks with the Palestinian Authority was dependent upon the release of kidnapped IDF soldier Gilad Shalit and the cessation of rocket launching at Israel.
Speaking with Greece's foreign minister, he stated that Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was facing a great opportunity, but also a difficult test, Israel Radio reported.
