Peretz won't respond to Winograd while in US

Defense Minister Amir Peretz declined on Tuesday to respond to the Winograd Committee's announcement that its interim report on last summer's Lebanon war would include personal findings on Peretz, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and former IDF chief of General Staff Lt.-Gen. Dan Halutz, Israel Radio reported. Speaking from Washington, where he was meeting with US officials and attending the annual AIPAC conference, Peretz said that "there are things that interest Israeli citizens more," and that he would respond to the announcement after his return to Israel.
