Pines: Lieberman 'like a bull in a china shop'

MK Ophir Pines (Labor) on Wednesday slammed Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman, saying his recent statements rejecting the Annapolis process and the Arab peace initiative were harming Israel's interests. "Lieberman is conducting himself like a bull in a china shop and is inflicting strategic damage on Israel's interests," Pines said in a statement. "In light of Lieberman's remarks it is uncertain whether or not there is any point to the meeting between [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu and [US President Barack] Obama." Pines also criticized Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak, whose "silence in the wake of these remarks," he said, "constitutes acquiescence on their part."
