PM hopes Chirac would be partner in negotiations

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said on Monday that he hoped French President Jacques Chirac would become a partner in the Israeli-Palestinian peace process. While meeting with representatives of the Jewish community in London, the prime minister said he would do all in his power to convince Chirac to support his realignment plan. Israel Radio reported that Olmert said he noticed a more friendly and understanding attitude on the part of both France and Great Britain towards Israel.
