PM 'surprised' by Ramon's remarks about IAF strike on Syria

Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said Thursday that he was "surprised" by the previous day's comments by Vice Premier Haim Ramon about the IAF strike on Syria. Referring to the raid, Ramon told Channel 10 on Wednesday that the decision making process was "good and professional," adding, "You all hear from foreign media sources what happened at the start of September. What took place, according to the foreign sources, was the result of a certain decision making process…which was exceptional in the opinion of everyone involved." During a tour of the Arava, the prime minister said that Ramon's remarks were "not coordinated with me, nor were they authorized by me."
