The Prime Minister's Office stressed the importance on Thursday of presenting Israel as a country interested in dialogue with the Palestinians during Prime Minister Ehud Olmert's scheduled trip to Washington on Sunday.
The statement comes despite Olmert's continuing insistence that due to the lack of a peace partner, the cabinet is planning a unilateral withdrawal from the West Bank.
