Police ban PA summer camp gathering in east Jerusalem

Jerusalem police on Sunday banned a summer camp gathering at an east Jerusalem college that was organized by the Palestinian Authority, police said. The event, which was slated to take place at the Al-Husseini College to mark the end of summer camp, was barred by order of Public Security Minister Avi Dichter, Jerusalem police spokesman Shmuel Ben-Ruby said. According to the moribund Oslo Accords, Palestinian political activity is forbidden in Jerusalem.
