Police detained two foreign left-wing protesters on Sunday after the pair refused to heed a request to vacate a closed military zone in the South Hebron Hills area. Around 20 left-wing protesters arrived at the Maon farm, an illegal outpost, during the morning hours. Police showed the demonstrators a decree ruling that the area was a closed military zone, and gave the protesters "a reasonable amount of time to disperse," according to a statement released by Judea and Samaria police. But two foreign nationals, an Italian and a German, did not respond to calls to leave, and were detained for questioning, police added. The remainder of the protesters left without incident. The pair have been transferred to Hebron Police for questioning.
