Police investigating murder of Nazareth man, 67

The Amakim police were checking possible motives for the murder Friday of 67-year-old Nazareth resident Michael Ronkin. The man left his home on Friday to take out the trash and was attacked. His calls for help alerted his wife, who found him lying in a pool of blood on their doorstep. He later died of stab wounds to his neck and chest. The victim had no criminal record, and police have not ruled out the possibility that the killing was racially motivated.
