Police prepared Saturday night for up to 250,000 revelers to arrive at Mt. Meiron for the Lag B'Omer celebrations. Thousands of police officers, MDA and Hatzalah teams were on the scene to ensure that the crowds could celebrate safely. Traffic police emphasized the need for celebrants to take public transportation to the peaks of Israel's second-highest mountain, as the parking-lots at the site are not nearly sufficient for the thousands of vehicles expected.
