By YAAKOV LAPPIN
Police raided the Ambassador Hotel in east Jerusalem on Monday and closed down a section of the building which was to form the basis of a media center for the Palestinian Authority.
Israel Police Spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said it was illegal for the PA to "hold any event in Jerusalem," noting that "these types of police operations have been carried out in the past."
The raid was ordered by Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharanovitch, Rosenfeld added. "No arrests were made," he said.
