A police investigation of the deadly multi-car traffic accident on Route 443 earlier in the day revealed that it was caused by a truck driver driving on the shoulder at an excessive speed.
The accident claimed the lives of two people, including the truck driver, and injured about 30 others.
After several hours during which the road was closed to traffic, Route 443 was reopened on Thursday night, Israel Radio reported.
