Poll: Kadima reaches 41 mandates, Likud up to 16

A new poll published on Thursday showed that Prime Minister Ariel Shaorn's new party Kadima continues to surge, reaching 41 mandates. According to the poll, commissioned by Israel Radio, a Likud headed by MK Binyamin Netnayanu would gain strength and receive 16 Knesset seats. Amir Peretz's Labor, however, would drop to 21 mandates. If the Likud were headed by Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz or Foreign Minister Silvan Shalom, it would receive only 11 mandates, while Kadima would win 44 Knesset seats.
