Poraz returns to state NIS 850K of Shinui's debt

MK Avraham Poraz returned NIS 850,000 that his former party, Shinui, owed to the state coffer following the municipal elections. Eleven MKs left the party ranks some three weeks ago following the primaries in which Poraz and others were voted out of their senior positions. The resigning members then founded a new faction called the Liberal Secular Party. The agreement settling the terms of the split stipulated that the new party would receive NIS 3 million of the Shinui funds provided they return the debt that Shinui owed.
